ABOUT
In partnership with ALAS (Ayudando Latinos A Soñar), Mercy Housing California (MHC) is proposing to build 40 apartments of high-quality affordable housing for senior farmworkers. The property at 555 Kelly will also be the future home of the Farmworker Resource Center, a new community center operated by ALAS. The new housing will be owned and managed by Mercy Housing.

PROJECT SPECIFICS

Approximately 40 affordable apartments for senior farmworkers

Unit mix: 6 studios, 26 one-bedrooms, 8 two-bedrooms

Private indoor and outdoor communal spaces, laundry room, and landscaped gardens

New ALAS Farmworker Resource Center
STAFFING

Mercy Housing Management Group (MHMG) will be the management agent for the property and is committed to providing quality property management services which reinforce the philosophy that all residents deserve respect, dignity, and a place to call home.

The Farmworker Resource Center, managed by ALAS, will provide a variety of services including case management, social service referrals, and mental health services.

Property Management and Resident Services staffing ratios will be determined as plans are further developed.
COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Mercy Housing is committed to incorporating the local community into the development process through a variety of means, including input from neighbors, neighborhood associations, and local leaders, as well as written and electronic communications.
